The First Three Months
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009It has been three months of chicken ownership. I’m happy to say I have no regrets. A small backyard flock is manageable, fun and oh so entertaining. Plus, they should be laying soon.
I have not named the hens and not sure that I would have at all. My nieces were visiting this weekend and they spent plenty of time in the coop playing with the chickens. They came up with really appropriate names based on the birds personalities. So here we have;
Pretty Girl – the friendliest, petable one
Little Bit – the smallest, shyest one
Red – the darkest buff colored one
Guy – who may be a rooster
