A Curious Visitor
Sunday, June 21st, 2009As usual, I let the girls out at 7am, and after taking care of them I started my regular Sunday routine. The weather has been stuck in a cloudy, rainy, cool pattern for many days in a row and very unusual for June. What a surprise when I looked out at the girls and they had a visitor. 
A Guinea Fowl. Not sure if is wild or loose from a neighbor. We have never had one before and it seems curious that it would come a calling now. The girls watched it closely and after a while lost interest in it. I took pictures and of course, went out to sprinkle some feed and place a bowl of fresh water. It stayed around for most of the day but was gone by late afternoon. It was back the next day. I now consider it part of my “free range” flock.
