Blizzard of 2013
We heard there was a blizzard coming, and so we were in lockdown for two days….
The cardinals were in abundance looking for food.
Our keepers were cozy by the gas fireplace (power being out).
Finally, we were released to lots of sun.
And all this white stuff….

Pictures captured the blizzard beautifully. Cape Cod is having a wallop of a winter this year. More snow expected this weekend with the most to hit the Cape, again.

Beautiful pictures. My three silkie “roos” were sequestered in the garage. We rescued two more silkie baby roosters abandoned near where we found our boys the Sunday prior to the storm and thankfully, Michelle at Promising Hope Sanctuary in Middleboro took them in Thursday night.

OMGosh, Susan,
Wouldn’t you love to know who is discarding these chickens? I know not everyone can keep roosters but to just dump them off……Thank goodness you came across them. Promising Hope is a wonderful resource. I’ve read of many sad animal stories were they come to the rescue. Hope all is well with you. I am so looking forward to spring!
